Pre-formed stand-up pouches and zipper bags have revolutionized retail packaging across spices, snacks, dry fruits, pet food, and agrochemicals. How a Multi-Station Rotary Pouch Machine Operates
The OSTECH Rotary Bagger Machine operates via an indexed multi-station carousel. In a continuous, synchronized sequence, the machine performs:
- Station 1 - Pouch Magazine Feeding: Vacuum pickers pull pre-formed pouches one by one from the load magazine and transfer them into mechanical grippers.
- Station 2 - Date Printing & Optical Code Verification: Integration with thermal inkjet (TIJ) or laser printers stamps expiry and batch codes. Optical sensors verify print contrast.
- Station 3 - Zipper Opening & Pouch Inflation: Mechanical finger openers unzip the pouch while compressed air nozzles expand the gusset bottom.
- Station 4 - Product Dosing & Nitrogen Flushing: Connected to multihead weighers, auger fillers, or liquid piston pumps. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) flushes nitrogen to drop residual oxygen below 1%.
- Station 5 - Settling & De-Aeration: Pneumatic tappers settle bulky powders or snacks into the bottom of the pouch to ensure clean seal areas.
- Station 6 & 7 - Double Heat Sealing: Heavy-duty PID-controlled heat sealing bars hermetically seal the pouch opening with embossed cross-hatch profiles.
- Station 8 - Cold Quenching & Discharge: Chilled cooling bars stabilize the seal to prevent wrinkling before discharging onto the take-away conveyor.
